As the construction sector picks up the momentum in restarting work, we must ensure it is done safely. This is crucial as any COVID-19 outbreaks at work sites would upset the pace of restart and may result in costly disruptions to the whole sector.

We would like to share two messages from Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for Social and Family Development and 2nd Minister for National Development, and Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry with you.

Minister Lee gives his take on how the industry, trade associations and chambers (TACs) and government agencies are working together to help the sector restart safely.

SMS Koh shares his thoughts on the complexity and scale of the ongoing operations to clear workers from dormitories in a systematic manner so that they can resume work safely and not pose a risk to their fellow colleagues and the community.

    Message by Mr Desmond Lee

“Working together to restart construction work safely”

    English Version

    Chinese Version

Message by Dr Koh Poh Koon

“A safe, gradual restart for the construction industry”

    About The Webinar

With the number of COVID-19 cases exceeding 7 million and continuing to increase worldwide, businesses are faced with a  constantly shifting economic landscape and great uncertainty ahead. Business owners should consider developing lasting enterprise-wide abilities to manage threats such as:

    1. “Black Swan” events - high impact, but low probability events, i.e. a pandemic
    2. Supply chain disruptions
    3. Cybersecurity issues
As the leading global benchmark for business continuity, the ISO 22301 International Business Continuity Management (BCM) standard provides an organisation with the assurance that its preparedness, response and continuity management performance are effective in dealing with adverse events.

This webinar session aims to provide a platform for SMEs within the real estate value chain to:
    1. Find out more about BCM practices and how to implement them in your business
    2. Get tips on how to plan ahead and prepare your business for recovery after phase 1 of the Circuit Breaker period

Live webinar – How to leverage your IT strategy for real estate and facility management

On Tuesday 16 June at 17:00 SGT, Planon will host a webinar together with Verdantix - an independent research and consulting firm with a focus on innovative technologies that optimise business operations. Verdantix will share the latest research around four of the main software options organisations have when automating their real estate and facilities management processes.

Traditionally, organisations have turned towards two options to enhance their real estate and facility management practices: point solutions or an integrated solution like an Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS). However, today organisations have even more options and choices to make due to the rise of APIs, open IWMS platforms and PropTech start-ups that have launched compelling new propositions for organisations looking to improve and innovate.

Join this webinar to learn more about:
    • Biggest technology changes that have changed the software landscape for real estate and facility management solutions
    • The pros and cons of the real estate and facilities software strategies available today
    • Key questions to ask when choosing the right approach for your organisation
    • How an Integrated Workplace Management System fits into an organisation’s real estate and facility landscape with or without additional point solutions

If you are not able to join the live webinar, please register anyway and we will send you the recording afterwards.
